Slow down

FES has an increasing number of kids and families who walk and bike to school. The speed limit on Brassica is 15mph MAX in the school zone, and even if there are no flashing lights or crossing guards you must fully stop at the crosswalk until all children have arrived safely on the other side of the walk.

Pull forward

When you are in the carpool line, please pull as far forward as possible to keep the flow of traffic moving and to prevent congestion in the passing lane.

Stay behind the wheel

Remain in your car while your student loads or unloads. If your child needs help getting in or out of the car, please park in the parking lot instead.

Use the crosswalk

Use the designated crosswalk when walking from the parking lot to the school. Crossing elsewhere could mean crossing two lanes of traffic, and pedestrians are especially difficult to see in spring and fall when vegetation is tall.

Exit Right

All vehicles must turn RIGHT onto Brassica when exiting. Although it’s a two-way street, the exit from the school is a right-turn-only. This prevents congestion and improves safety!
